Not the running out of gas, breaking down in the desert and riding 3 across in the tow truck?

Omg! I was reaching way back! The Vegas to Colorado ride in the beautiful blue beetle convertible! Sundance, Redford, hiking, and Sandy- priceless!

I’ve got two:
1. I won a sweepstake to the Super Bowl in San Diego. My wife couldn’t go because of her mom’s health issues. My son and I went for four days and had the time of our lives.
2. I’m the youngest of four boys, and oddly, each of my brothers and I live in a different time zone across the United States. Two years ago, I flew across country and spent a few days with each brother in New Jersey, Minnesota, Colorado, before returning home to California. While I was back east, I visited my blogging buddy, Jennie’s preschool classroom, and spent part of the day in her preschool classroom.

Winning a Super Bowl trip must have been beyond exciting! The brothers trip sounds amazing, too. I love all four of those states, and have lived in two of them! Visiting a blogging buddy’s classroom seems like a very sweet way to connect in person. I’ve been on a lot of road trips and have funny and wonderful memories from all of them. Traveling, whether on the road or on the water or in the air, expands my mind, and opens up new paths to creativity. I can’t imagine ever stopping, no matter how much I enjoy my little home and its domestic pleasures.

my parents were quite the ‘grass is greener elsewhere’ sort, so we moved quite a bit – including CA to NY, 2 adults n 3 kids, in a small car with a UHaul trailer wagging behind us…
